The historic Litchfield Carnegie Library Building was originally funded by industrialist and notable philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, in 1904. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this building was designed by architect Paul Moratz in the Classical Revival style.

The building is open to the public and is now home to the Litchfield Tourism Office and Litchfield Chamber of Commerce. Visitors are also welcome to walk around the exterior, relax in the surrounding park, and enjoy the fountain and Veteran's Memorial.
