The Carlinville Amtrak platform is a recently renovated, unstaffed station. It is fully accessible and has restroom facilities. Arranging a Taxi
To arrange a taxi ride from either airport or the Carlinville Amtrak station, call Orange is the New Ride at 217-324-4444. Flat rates are set for most nearby destinations. Feel free to call to learn more about their rates.
St. Louis Lambert Airport is the closest international airport at only 60 miles from the City of Litchfield. Other airports include: Springfield Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport and MidAmerica St. Louis, as well as Midway and O’Hare in Chicago. Litchfield Municipal Airport is also available for landing by privately flown planes.
