The historic Litchfield Carnegie Library Building was funded by industrialist and notable philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, in 1904. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this building was designed by architect Paul Moratz in the Classical Revival style.

The building is now home to the Litchfield Tourism Office and Litchfield Chamber of Commerce, and it is open to the public. Visitors are also welcome to walk around the park, and enjoy the fountain, and Veterans Memorial.
