Litchfield Veteran’s Memorial Garden

Located on the east side of Library Park, directly behind the historic Carnegie Library building, the Veteran’s Memorial Garden was dedicated in 2007 to soldiers from Litchfield that fought for our country. This memorial is laid out in a long graceful arc with granite markers, showing the  names of those who served from World War I to Afghanistan. Several benches have been placed along the path, and a flagpole provides a serene area for personal reflection.

For a name to appear on the Litchfield Veteran’s Memorial Garden, the individual must meet the following requirements: They must have lived in Litchfield, attend Litchfield schools, and provide a 214 Military record. Inquiries can be made to Will Tackaberry at 217-324-3601.
