Bird banding

See a variety of birds and learn about the scientific process of bird banding and how the collected data is used, with Tony Rothering, a licensed bird bander with the Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders. Kids can join in the “Be a Bander” program where they can extract plush birds from a mist net and learn the process of banding. Bring a lawn chair for this ongoing program that continues throughout the morning. Snacks will be available.
