CANCELED Roger Shipley’s Route 66 RC Jet Rally

The Litchfield Airport Authority and Roger Shipley’s Route 66 Jets RC Club are again sponsoring a Remote Control (RC) Jet Rally from Friday September 11 through Sunday September 13. There will be approximately 30 contestants and 50 aircraft from all over the United States. There will be scale models of military jets and high performance sport jets.

The public is invited to attend this event from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday and 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Sunday.

There is a $5 entrance fee for adults. Children 15 and under are free. Parking is free. Food concessions are available or bring your own food and tailgate in the parking area. Limited bleacher seats are available so “Please” bring you own lawn chairs for seating and don’t forget your cameras.

Access to the event will be along US Route 66 South, the “Mother Road”. Turn west at “Airport Trail” which is the road immediately south of the airport entrance. Look for signs.
