Encampment

 The West Fork Encampment in Litchfield, IL is a journey through history you do not want to miss! It is a historical reenactment that showcases traditional military and frontier life from 1750-1820.

Admission if FREE, parking is FREE.

Directions: From Route 16 (Union Avenue) turn north on Yaeger Lake trail (you will be turning left if coming from I-55 and right if coming from Hillsboro. There will be a large brown Lake Lou Yaeger sign visible and a cemetery across from where you turn.) Stay on Yaeger Lake Trail and proceed a couple miles to Park Road, which will be on your left. Turn left onto Park Road. If you cross the dam, you have gone just a little too far. Once on Park Road you will turn right when you see a sign that states Marina 2/Picnic Area 4. There will also be a large “West Fork Encampment” sign on your right.
