Fair Trade Market and Bake Sale

Join us on Sunday, December 9 for some Christmas shopping that can help change the world. Union Avenue Christian Church will be hosting a fair trade market with all kinds of gifts from Simply Fair and Blessing Baskets. Be sure to invite your friends and give gifts this holiday season that will make the world a better place. Not sure what fair trade is… well from poverty to climate change to struggles with health and safety, people all over the world face incredible challenges simply trying to earn a living. To compete in today’s market, businesses drive down prices at the expense of those most vulnerable: farmers, workers, and fishermen. This simply can’t go on. Shopping Fair Trade means taking a stand for a system that treats everyone with respect. Hope you will join us! Will also be selling chili dogs and baked goods with all food sale proceeds going to help with the travel and medical expenses of James and Sara Randle.
